Gavarphalli aloo ki sabji/Goruchichikkudu Bangaladumpa koora
Ingredients
250 gms cluster beans (De-stringed and chopped)
2 potatoes (chopped to medium size pieces)
2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
2 onions chopped
2 green chillies
few curry leaves
4 to 5 garlic pods (mashed)
1 tea spoon red chilli powder
1 tea spoon dhaniya powder
1/4 tea spoon haldi
1 tea spoon salt (as per taste)
1 tea spoon each rai, jeera and urad dal
1 table spoon oil
Method
Heat oil in a pan. Add rai, jeera and urad dal. When rai starts spluttering add chopped onions and green chillies. Fry until onions become transparent. Add curry leaves and garlic pods. Saute and add red chilli powder, dhaniya powder and haldi. Mix well, fry for few sec. and add chopped cluster beans and potatoes. Add salt and a cup of water. Close the lid, reduce the flame and cook in a medium flame for 10 to 12 mins.
After the beans are more than half cooked add chopped tomatoes. Mix well and cook until the curry is done.
Gavarphalli aloo ki sabji/Goruchichikkudu Bangaladumpa koora is ready........Take it into a bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Tastes good with rice, rotis or chapatis.......
