Grind cocunut as well as jaggery separately. Take 1tsp of ghee or dalda in a kadai and fry 3 Tables spoons of maida till it turns pinkish. Mix jaggery, cocunut and maida together in a bowl. Now take the remaining maida and add 1/2tsp of ghee in it and mix thoroughly. Prepare small ‘puries’ of this mixed maida and then fill these ‘puries’ with the above mixture of jaggery, cocunut and maida.
Give it the ‘modak’ shape as shown in the pic. Now heat ghee in a kadai. Fry the modak until they become slightly brown. Take them out from kadai, drain on a kitchen paper or absorbent paper and serve.
